BISWAPATI MAITI was born in 1946 in West Bengal. He graduated from the Government College of Art & Crafts, Calcutta in 1970. He has participated in several important group exhibitions from 1970 to 1997 in Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
