Profile of Yusof Ghani: Yusof Ghani is arguably one if the most well-known and respected Malaysian fine artists. His work is in high demand from galleries and collectors, and famous people, peers in the art world, and art enthusiasts frequently attend his shows. The artist was born in Johor in 1950 and raised there before continuing his education in the United States at George Mason University in Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Art with a major in Graphic Art. At the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, he then continued his master's degree in fine art.

Yusof is a lecturer and associate professor at the department of fine arts at the Universiti Teknologi Mara in Shah Alam, where he started his teaching career. His work is well known throughout Malaysia and the surrounding areas. In the course of his artistic career, he has produced a number of noteworthy series, including Tari, Topeng, Wayang, Hijau, Segerak, and most recently, Biring. These series revolve around human figures, landscapes, and still life. His corpus of work is recognised as abstract expressionism, and his brushwork and other methods are regarded as some of the best in the world and unparalleled by any standards.
