Thomas Yeo 1968 : Old Scene Singapore

Thomas Yeo is a well-known second-generation artist from Singapore who was born there in 1936. He received his education at the Hammersmith College of Art and Building, Chelsea School of Art, and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. His contemporary works have been dubbed "highly imaginative landscapes of the unconscious mind." He has held office as president of the Modern Art Society, Singapore, and chairman of the Shell Discovery Art Awards. He is a vocal promoter of Southeast Asian art. Yeo has received the Cultural Medallion and the UOB Painting of the Year award for his contributions to the visual arts in Singapore. He has held 39 solo exhibits and more than 100 group exhibitions, and his work has been widely displayed in Southeast Asia, Europe, the United States, and Australia.
